Privacy Policy
Equilib is built on a single principle: your emotional data belongs to you. We collect the minimum necessary, never sell it, and give you full control. This policy explains exactly what we do — and what we don't.
What We Collect
- Email address — used solely for authentication via one-time passcode (OTP). Not shared with marketers.
- Questionnaire responses — your answers to the emotional state questions within the session. Stored anonymized: no name, location, or device identifier attached.
- Payment data — handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.
What We Don't Collect
- Your real name
- Location data or IP geolocation
- Browsing history outside of Equilib
- Device fingerprints or advertising identifiers
- Biometric data
- Social media profiles
We do not run analytics trackers (no Google Analytics, no Meta Pixel, no third-party tracking scripts).
How We Use Your Data
- To authenticate you — OTP verification, JWT session management.
- To generate insights — your session responses are passed to our AI to produce a personalized hormonal snapshot and wellness recommendations.
- To identify patterns — if you opt in, we store weekly summaries to surface recurring root causes across sessions.
- To send transactional email — OTP codes and billing receipts only. No marketing without explicit opt-in.
We do not use your data for advertising, profiling for third parties, or any purpose not listed here.
AI Processing
Your responses are processed by AI to generate your hormonal snapshot and wellness recommendations. We use two AI providers depending on your subscription tier:
- Free tier: Gemini by Google (Gemini 3.0 Flash) via their paid API tier.
- Premium tier: Claude by Anthropic (Sonnet 4.6) via their API.
For both providers:
- Data sent to the AI contains no personally identifiable information — no email, no name, no device ID.
- Your data is not used to train AI models. We use paid API tiers for both providers, which contractually prohibit training on API inputs.
- All AI calls are routed through our Cloudflare Worker — API keys never touch your browser.

Data Storage
All data is stored in Cloudflare D1, a globally distributed edge database. Data is encrypted at rest and in transit (TLS 1.3). Cloudflare infrastructure is SOC 2 Type II certified.
We do not store data on servers we physically control — we use managed Cloudflare infrastructure subject to Cloudflare's security standards.
Data Retention
- Session data — stored for 90 days, then automatically deleted.
- Pattern memory — retained while your account is active (if opted in). Deleted on account deletion.
- OTP tokens — expire after 10 minutes and are immediately invalidated after use.
- Billing records — retained for 7 years as required by Singapore financial regulations.
You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time (see Your Rights below).
Third Parties
We share data with exactly three processors, for specific limited purposes:
- Stripe — payment processing. Receives your email and billing info. stripe.com/privacy
- Anthropic — AI processing. Receives anonymized session responses only. anthropic.com/privacy
- Resend — transactional email (OTP delivery). Receives your email address. resend.com/privacy
No data is sold. No data is shared with advertisers or data brokers. Ever.
Your Rights
You have the following rights regarding your data:
- Access — request a copy of all data we hold about you.
- Deletion — delete your account and all associated session data. Billing records are retained as required by law.
- Export — receive your session history in a portable format (JSON).
- Opt out of pattern memory — disable cross-session memory. Your sessions will remain independent and no patterns will be stored.
- Correction — correct inaccurate data (note: responses are anonymized and linked only to your email).

Equilib is a wellness tool, not a medical or clinical service. It does not diagnose, treat, prevent, or claim to cure any physical or mental health condition. The hormonal insights and activity suggestions are educational and informational in nature only.
